Purpose
Why Was It Made?
Edgar Wright made this film because he wanted it to be different from other cop dramas. He also made it a comedy because his films specialize in the comedy genre. People make police dramas because they want to show what police are like and he wanted his police drama to be different from other police movies. He also made the film so that it is made up of other police movies, some of the scenes are similar to movies such as bad boys when we see the two main charecters being police officers and posing with their guns.
Edgar Wright has made Triolgy such as Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead and World's End where they are all comedies that star both Nick Frost and Simon Pegg which are both comedians and the films that they mark are comedy. When they made Hot Fuzz they also made it a comedy because must of the police dramas are serious and they wanted their film to be different from other police dramas.
