Distribution
In the UK theatrical release universal pictures have the rights for them. The date that it was released in the UK is 14th Feb 2007 and 427 screens were opened that day.
In the UK DVD/Blu-ray universal pictures have the rights for them to display the film. The date that the DVD was released is 11th June 2007 & Blu-ray was released in 22nd September 2009.
In the US Theatrical release Rouge pictures has the rights for them to release the movie. The date that it was released in the US is 20th April 2007 and 825 screens were opened that day.
In the US DVD/ Blu-ray Universal studios entertainment have the rights to put the movie on the DVD/Blu-ray format. The DVD was released in 2007 and the Blu-ray was released in 2009.
What is distribution?
This is when they get the products from the producers of the films that made them. It also means that they are shared among a group of people.
Two types of distribution:
One type of distribution is theatrical distribution which is when the film is just like the one that was released in the cinema and nothing has been cut or added to the movie.
The other type of distrbution is DVD/Blu-ray which is where some scenes have been cut out due to them trying to make it suitable for home release and they would of re-edited the film.
