The Pakistani Hussein family have decided to settle done in London reaching for the riches that were promised to them by the Thatcherism. Nasser and his best friend Salim have many small businesses and they will do whatever they need to do to make money, even if that means it has to be illegal. Nasser and his family live a comfortable lifestyle and he shows of his riches when he can. While his brother Ali, also known as alcoholic Ali once was a famous journalist in Pakistan and now lives in a flat with his son Omar. To help Ali Nasser gives his brother a job which is menial labour. Omar is thinking about bigger plans about managing the run down laundrette.

In an English town by the seaside, after World War 2, there was a young girl called Lynda who was growing up with her widowed father and her younger sister. Lynda has been swearing since she was young. When she was sixteen years old she was more exhibitionist and she seeks out sexual encounters challenging the middle class views of sex. She then gets pregnant by an acquaintance of her father.

Sammy and Rosie Get Laid

Sammy and Rosie are a married couple, they are a middle class couple living in London. They live in the inner city and they have intellectual street people that surround them and they sleep with everybody except with one another. When Sammy's father Raffi who is a member of the Indian Government minister comes to London to visit them they all try to find the true meaning of love.

The Tall Guy

Dexter King Falls in love with Kate who is a very pretty nurse, that he meets when you goes to get his hay fever injection. This is when his boss Ron Anderson fires him from his job, he then gets a role in a musical production of "The Elephant Man". Kate suspects that he is cheating on her with a cast member and she dumbs him. He tries to win her back.
